General Notes: "Handbook of British Chronology, 501: Henry was the son and heir of Malcolm, earl of Atholl (d.1187×98), being styled as earl before 15 February 1198. He died without male heirs before January 1211, at which time the earldom passed by right of his eldest daughter, Isabella, to her husband, Thomas of Galloway (d. 1231), and after his death, to their son Patrick (d. 1242)." Henry married Margaret.1 2 (Margaret was born about 1168.) Marriage Notes: "Henry's wife is referred to in various writs as Margaret the Countess, but it is not certain who she was.(1It is possible she may have been a Comyn.)
