LESLIE, Alexander 7th of Kininvie, Provost of Banff ^{1 2}

Alexander married Catherine SHARP, daughter of Most Reverend Mr James SHARP Archbishop of St Andrews and Helen MONCRIEFF.¹ (Catherine SHARP was born about 1660.)

  Marriage Notes:

"John Leslie was succeeded by his eldest son, Alexander Leslie, seventh Laird of Kininvie, who, having engaged in trade, suffered great losses, and his estate of Kininvie being much burdened with debt, he sold it to his brother, James Leslie. He married a daughter of Archbishop Sharp of St. Andrews, and, it is said, had a son, Alexander."
