Marriage Notes: "In 1212, he married Marjory, heiress to the earldom of Buchan, and was styled earl of Buchan from that year. With Marjory he had another three sons (Alexander, William, Fergus) and three daughters (Idonea, Agnes, Elizabeth). From this line were descended the earls of Buchan and brought to the family the vast estates of the earldom." |
