Bessie Roy, 'nurreych ' to the Laird of Balquhain, was on 18 August 1590 'indytit and accusit for the bevisching of William Kingis wyfe of Barraucht tuelf yeiris sensyne or thairby .... for your divilishe devyse efter thow haid left hir seruice,' but was 'fand and pronounceit innocent.' "

William next married Elizabeth MENZIES, daughter of Gilbert MENZIES of Cowlie and Pitfodels, younger, Burgess of Guild and Provost of and Margaret KEITH. (Elizabeth MENZIES was born about 1545.)
