DAUGHTER MARGARET
Memorials of the Families of Strachan and Wise by Charles Rogers (1877) states in passing, without original documents, that the father of Margaret Durham was 'Sir Willliam Durham of Grange'. There was such a man of that name, but a hundred and fifty years earlier, in the time of King Robert de Brus. There was also another in the 16th century, too late to be Margaret's father.
Thomas Durham of Grange fits Margaret's dates, and would explain the naming of a grandson of Margaret as Thomas. 2
