Isobel married James SIBBALD Minister of Torryburn parish, son of Reverend Mr James SIBBALD of Kair & Mondynes, Minister of Benholme parish and Isobell GARDEN.1 (James SIBBALD Minister of Torryburn parish was born about 1593 and died in April 1667 1.)

"James Sibbald, probably eldest son of James S. of Kair, min. of Benholme; educated at Univ. of St Andrews; M.A. (29th July 1611); schoolmaster at Dunfermline before 21st April 1618 and onwards, in succession to William Smythe, formerly a monk of the Abbey and chaplain of St Katherine's Altar there; adm. 18th March 1629; was a member of the General Assembly in 1638, and of the Commissions of Assembly, 1645-7; conformed to Episcopacy in 1662. He died April 1667, aged about 76. He left 200 merks for the use of the schoolmaster, and 100 merks were ordered to be distributed among the poor of Torrie the day after his burial, 'his own friends being first looked to.' He marr. (1) Isobel Bowstoun, who died soon after 17th Jan. 1636, and had issue: John, bapt. 5th Dec. 1619; Janet, bapt. 22nd Nov. 1622; Elizabeth, bapt. 16th Oct. 1624; Margaret, bapt. 6th April 1626; Geils, bapt. 13th March 1628; George, bapt. 15th April 1629"
