Probably Saltersyke, off the A702 near Silverburn in the area of the Pentland Hills, between the Loganlea Reservoir and the North Esk Reservoir. Also Satersyke; Satorsyke; Satyr Syke; Braidwood. It is described in mid-nineteenth century as 'a small cot house upon the farm of Braidwood. Formerly there was a farm of this name'.
