It is difficult to uncover where George fits in to the Leith family of Overhall. He may be a descendant of an earlier cadet member, and therefore be 'of the Overhall family'. ⁵

George married Elspet STRAGN, daughter of Reverend Mr Andrew STRACHAN Minister of Kintore parish and Jean IRVING, on 5 May 1657 in Old Machar parish, Aberdeen, Scotland.¹ (Elspet STRAGN was born about 1637.)
