Grant of Rothiemurchus married Jean Gordon, daughter of 'the Laird of Echt', where Echt is evidently a slip for Gight. On May 17, 1616, Captain John Gordon was served heir of Jean Gordon, Lady of Rothiemurcus, his father's sister (Retours)."
