"Robert Gordon, born 1629, son of Patrick G., burgess of Banff; educated at King's College, Aberdeen; M.A. (1647); schoolmaster of Rothiemay, 19th Nov. 1654-61; licen. by Presb. of Strathbogie before 25th April 1658; ord. before 2nd April 1661; died in 1680. He marr. Anna Gordon (she marr. (2) Ludovic Gordon, min. of Kinnoir), and had issue John, served heir 27th July 1682. [Inq. Ret.Gen., 6397; G. R. Inhib., 3rd Dec. 1707.]"
