General Notes: "He (Alexander Abercromby) was a member for the County of Banff to the Scots Parliament, and supported strongly the party opposed to the union with England, of which the Duke of Hamilton was the leader. He died in the year 1705, two years before the union, not much above fifty years of age, and was buried in the aisle of the Parish Church of Grange, where a monument was erected to his memory." Alexander married Mary DUFF, daughter of Alexander DUFF of Braco, WS and Margaret GORDON.1 2 (Mary DUFF was born about 1683 2.) Marriage Notes: "3.
