Agnes married Sir Patrick GRAY of Invergowrie, son of Patrick GRAY 4th Lord Gray and Marion OGILVY, 16 December 1596(contract).1 2 (Sir Patrick GRAY of Invergowrie was born about 1554 and died on 31 August 1606 1.) Marriage Notes: "Sir Patrick of Invergowrie .... married .... secondly (contract 16 December 1596), Agnes, daughter of Sir Archibald Napier of Edinbillie, who survived him and married Harry Balfour of Balgay, and afterwards John, son to James, sixth Lord Ogilvy of Airlie. He had issue Patrick of Invergowrie, afterwards of Kinnell, also Andrew, Agnes, Euphan, Elizabeth, and Marion, named in his testament." Agnes next married Harry BALFOUR of Balgay.1 2 (Harry BALFOUR of Balgay was born about 1570 and died before 6 February 1612 2.) " Agnes next married Mr John OGILVY of Newbigging, son of James OGILVY 6th Lord Ogilvy of Airlie and Jean RUTHVEN.1 2 3 (Mr John OGILVY of Newbigging was born about 1587 and died on 22 November 1625 3.) Marriage Notes: "Mr. John Ogilvy of Newbigging. He, who is sometimes styled 'In Invergowrie,' from his marriage to Dame Agnes Napier, daughter of Sir Archibald Napier of Edinbellie, widow of Harie Balfour of Logie, and of Sir Patrick Gray of Invergowrie, died in Glenisla 22 November 1625, leaving three daughters." |
