Mary married Sir David SETON 7th of Parbroath, Comptroller of Scotland, son of Sir Gilbert SETON younger, of Parbroath and Helen LESLIE, in April 1568.¹ (Sir David SETON 7th of Parbroath, Comptroller of Scotland was born about 1545 and died before 1600 ¹.)

  Marriage Notes:

"He (William, 4th Lord Ruthven) was contracted to Mary, daughter of Patrick, fourth Lord Gray, though the marriage did not take place, as she married David Seton of Parbroath. (page 263)

Mary, contracted to William, Master of Ruthven,afterwards first Earl of Gowrie, which did not take effect ; married (contract dated 12 April 1568) to David Seton of Parbroath, Comptroller of Scotland. He died before 1600, when she is called his widow." (page 282 and 283)
