"In the same Register (10th March 1529-30), there is a precept for confirmation of a charter granted to his son Gilbert, by Andrew Seton of Parbroath, of the lands and barony of Parbroath, with tower, mill, etc., in the shire of Fife, excepting the lands of Urquhart Easter, Middill Urquhart, Loppy Urquhart, and Lillock in Fife, and the half of the lands of Ardoch, in the shire of Forfar.(3 Register of Privy Seal, viii. 172.)"

Gilbert married Helen LESLIE, daughter of George LESLIE 4th Earl of Rothes, Sheriff of Fife and Agnes SOMERVILLE.1 (Helen LESLIE was born about 1520 and died on 26 October 1594 1.)

"He (Mr Mark Ker) married Helen Leslie, second daughter of George, fourth Earl of Rothes, and widow of Gilbert Seton, younger of Parbroath, and had with her a charter from George, Lord Seton, of the lands of East and West Barnes, 15 May 1567, confirmed 15 April 1569."
