Thomas married Grisel CRICHTON, daughter of Robert CRICHTON of Eliock and Cluny, King's Advocate (joint) and Elizabeth STEWART, 21 July 1591(contract).1 2 (Grisel CRICHTON was born about 1568.)

"Grisel Crichton was a child by her father's first marriage, and had a charter from her father for the middle part of the Mill of Rossie-Ochill on 2 February 1572, in which she is styled the fourth daughter. She m. by 17 December 1593, to Thomas Dunbar, Dean of Moray."
