  General Notes:

One of the witnesses at the baptisms of some of the children of George Haimes and Isabella Muat in the late 1700s and early 1800s in Haddington was a George Muat. It may be this uncle of Isabella's.

The 1841 census for Haddington East Lothian recorded a George Muat aged 70 years living at Sidegate Close Haddington. He was a shoemaker. He had been born in East Lothian. 2
