General Notes: "1457 & 1493. - Sir Alexander Irvine of Drum, who succeeded in 1457, and died in 1493, had by his first wife Elizabeth (daughter of Alexander, 1st Lord Forbes) three sons and one daughter. The sons were Alexander, his successor; 2nd, Richard of Craigton, from whom are descended the Irvines of Hiltoun; and 3rd, Henry, from whom are descended the Irvines of Kingcaussie. - (MS. Drum Papers.)" Henry married Janet COLLISON, daughter of John COLLISON Provost of Aberdeen and Elizabeth LESLIE.1 (Janet COLLISON was born about 1496.) Marriage Notes: "..... and a daughter, married to a brother of the laird of Drum." |
