Janet married David STRACHAN 5th of Carmyllie, son of Alexander STRACHAN 4th of Carmyllie and Daughter SETON.¹ (David STRACHAN 5th of Carmyllie was born about 1450 and died after 20 January 1511(1512) ².)

  Marriage Notes:

"On the 5th March 1500, David Strachan of Carmyllie endowed a chaplamcy at Carmyllie. In the charter of foundation he prohibited the monk from keeping a mistress, and provided that he should conduct a school for the education of the young. This charter was confirmed by James IV. in a royal charter, dated 20th January 1511 (Regist. de Panmure, vol. ii., pp. 263-267).

David Strachan of Carmyllie married Janet Drummond, by whom he became father of two sons, Alexander and James. On the 9th February 1508, a charter granted by David Strachan of Carmyllie to Alexander Strachan, his elder son, was, by Sir Thomas Maule of Panmure, confirmed in a charter"
