"Jean, married to Thomas Dempster, Baron of Muiresk, as appears by a charter, dated 6th January 1592, giving to their second son, Robert, the barony of Auchterless. They had a third son, the learned and renowned Thomas Dempster. Their eldest son, James,succeeded his father as Baron of Muiresk. The line is now extinct."
