"Alexander Leslie, sixth Laird of Warthill, according to an old manuscript history of the family, was a man of good natural parts, and learning sufficient for a gentleman. He married, first, Elizabeth Gordon, daughter of the Laird of Badenscoth, and had issue

II. John, who succeeded as seventh Laird of Warthill, born 1683.

III. William, who died unmarried."
