"Sir James Gordon married, probably in 1589, Rebecca, daughter of Andrew Keith of Ravenscraig, or Craig of Inverugie. In a Diary kept by a Country Gentleman in Buchan, it is recorded that in the month of July or August, 1589, King James was at the Craig of Inverugie at the Laird's daughter's marriage (Gordon's Scots Affairs, i.,
