  General Notes:

"...the eldest married first to the Laird of Cralgstoun (to whom she bore only Sir John Urquhart of Cromarty) and afterwards to my Lord Brodie, and was mother of his children"

Note: The first part of this statement seems to be confusing this daughter of Innes with Beatrice (or Elizabeth, but that seems part of the confusion) Innes, the mother of Sir John Urquhart who built Craigston in the early 17th century. It may nevertheless still have truth in it, if Sir John's son, whose dates would fit with a marriage to Elizabeth, died at an early age.

Elizabeth married John URQUHART of Craigston, son of John URQUHART of Laithers and Craigfintry and Unknown.¹ (John URQUHART of Craigston was born about 1610 and died on 30 March 1634 ¹.)

  Marriage Notes:

" .... on the 28th of October, the previous year (1635), he had formed a matrimonial
alliance with the relict of John Urquhart of Craigston, tutor of Cromarty, who died 30th March, 1634. This lady to whom he was most devotedly attached, was Elizabeth, daughter of Sir Robert Innes of Innes, Bart., by Lady Grizzel Stewart, daughter of James, second Earl of Murray."

Elizabeth next married Alexander BRODIE 15th of that Ilk, Author, son of David BRODIE 14th of that Ilk and Katherine DUNBAR, on 28 October 1635.¹ (Alexander BRODIE 15th of that Ilk, Author was born on 25 July 1617 ¹ and died on 17 April 1680 ¹.)
