The marriage took place after banns according to the forms of the Church of Scotland. James Laing Thomson, minister of the Church of Scotland at Peterculter, was the presiding minister. The witnesses were James M. Gill of 42 Devonshire Road, Aberdeen, and Agnes F. Hardie of 15 Forest Avenue, Aberdeen.

Sidney Frederick Hardie was a single man of 29 years of age. He worked as a photographer's manager, and lived at 15 Forest Avenue, Aberdeen. His father was deceased.

Clara Beatrice England was 28 years old and single. She worked as a clerkess at a nursing home and lived at Lilybank, Peterculter.
