John McLeod, George's father, who was present, gave notice of his son's birth before the registrar, Charles Stronach, at Aberdeen on 31 January 1891.

The 1891 census for St Nicholas parish recorded George P. McLeod living with his sister and two half brothers at 26 Charlotte Street Aberdeen. George had been born in St Nicholas parish Aberdeen and was aged 2 months.

George McLeod was the informant of his mother Helen's death in 1921 at Dee Village Road Aberdeen. He was recorded in her death certificate as 'son and inmate, present'. ^{1 2 3}
