Another name for John was CALAM, John.1 General Notes: John may have died in the 1690s, as he is not named in the list of the men Alexander Straquhan of Glenkindie in 1699, the "LIST OF THE HERETORS in Strathdon and above Towie who have given Bond to the Commissioners of Justiciary for the peaceable behaviour of their men, and also of the men given up by them", as other Callum men are, or he may have supported the other side. 2 John married Elspet BREMNER on 10 April 1683 in Strathdon parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.1 (Elspet BREMNER was born about 1660.) John next married Jean STUART, daughter of John STUART and Unknown, on 30 August 1685 in Strathdon parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.1 (Jean STUART was baptised on 28 October 1668 in Strathdon parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland 1.) |
