MONTGOMERY, Robert of Giffin

Robert married Jean CAMPBELL, daughter of Sir Matthew CAMPBELL 10th of Loudoun, Sheriff of Ayr and Isobel DRUMMOND, April 1589 (contract). (Jean CAMPBELL was born about 1573 and died before 1612 ¹.)

"Jean Campbell, m. first, Robert Montgomery of Giffin, (c/m April of 1589. He d. in August 1596), and had issue; and secondly, in August 1598, to Ludovic Stewart, 2nd Duke of Lennox, (he was widow of Sophia, daughter of William Ruthven, 1st Earl of Gowrie)"
