Elizabeth married Sir George CAMPBELL 6th of Loudoun, Sheriff of Ayr, son of Sir George CAMPBELL 5th of Loudoun, Sheriff of Ayr and Unknown.¹ (Sir George CAMPBELL 6th of Loudoun, Sheriff of Ayr was born about 1430 and died by 9 March 1490 (1491) ¹.)

  Marriage Notes:

"Sir George Campbell of Loudoun, was present with his father at the inquest of Malcolm Campbell on 17 August 1459 and is styled son and heir apparent to Sir George Campbell of Loudoun in a charter to him by Alexander Livingston of Duchray for the lands of Duchray in the lordship of Kingskyle, in the sheriffdom of Ayr, on 19 July 1465. He had a grant from the King of an annualrent of £3 from the lands of Shawfield and 33 shillings and 4 pence from those of Kers in December of 1467-68, and m. Elizabeth Stewart, (Dispensation dated 29 March 1466)."

"Sir George Campbell of Loudoun had a charter as son and heir of his father in the lands of Duchray in King's Kyle, Benquhol and Dalnarton in Ayrshire, and Kittomure in the barony of Stanehouse in Lanarkshire, from Alexander Livingston of Duchray, in excambion for the lands of Cowlath and Edingham in the Stewartry of Kirkcudbright, on 19 July 1465, and of the lands of Schevild 1467. He was alive 2 March 1489-90, but was dead 9 March 1490-91. He married Elizabeth Stewart before 29 March 1466, when they had a papal dispensation, because at that time they were married and had issue, although they stood in the third and fourth degrees of kinship to each other, and Elizabeth's father had been George's godfather."
