Janet married Sir James STIRLING 4th of Keir and 1st of Cadder, son of Sir John STIRLING 3rd of Keir, Sheriff of Perth and Margaret FORRESTER, about 1534.^{1 2} The marriage ended in divorce. (Sir James STIRLING 4th of Keir and 1st of Cadder was born about 1515 and died in 1588 ².)
