"(Laurence) Lord Oliphant married, secondly, Elizabeth, daughter of Sir Humphrey Cuninghame of Glengarnock, by whom, who survived him and was married, secondly, to the above-mentioned Sir John Elphinstone of Airth, he does not appear to have had any issue."

Elizabeth next married Sir John ELPHINSTONE of Pittendreich, then 5th of that Ilk, son of James ELPHINSTONE apparent of Pittendreich and Isabella BRUCE, August 1499 (papal dispensation).¹ (Sir John ELPHINSTONE of Pittendreich, then 5th of that Ilk was born about 1455 and died before 19 October 1508 ².)

  Marriage Notes:

"Sir John (Elphinstone) married ...... thirdly, Elizabeth Cunningham, widow of the above-mentioned Laurence, Lord Oliphant : for this marriage he obtained a papal dispensation in August 1499."
