Isobel married John UDNY of Belhelvie and later of Udny, son of William UDNY 8th of that Ilk and Matilda GORDON.1 (John UDNY of Belhelvie and later of Udny was born about 1592 and died in 1665 1.)


  Marriage Notes:

He (John Udny) died in 1665, leaving by his wife, Isobel Eraser, four sons and a daughter :

I. Alexander, his successor.

II. Robert, of Auchterellon, of whom afterwards.

III. John, of Newtyle and Culter-Cullen, He married, and had issue.

IV. Arthur. He was a graduate of the University of Aberdeen. He had a life appointment along with Mr. John Vaus, as keeper of the Tolbooth of Edinburgh ; but they were deprived of their office by the Privy Council, 1st November, 1686, being held blameable for the escape of Mr. Alexander Shiell, a Presbyterian minister and preacher at Conventicles, disguised in women's clothes. Arthur married Isabella, daughter of John Douglas, merchant, burgess of Aberdeen.
