  General Notes:

"William de Moravia, second son of the above William, and grandson of Freskin, is found designed ' Dominus de Pettyn, Brachlie, and Boharm,' and appears as witness, along with his father and his brother Hugh, to charters granted by King William in the end of the twelfth and beginning of the thirteenth centuries. He gifted the church of Artendol to the Cathedral Church of Spynie. He was Sheriff of Invernaryn in 1204, and died before 5 October 1220."

from Scots Peerage (vol 2)

"William, known as William, son of William, son of Freskin. He and his brother Hugh frequently appear together as witnesses after 1195. He also, about 1200 or later, assumed the sirname ' de Moravia,' and in a charter about that date refers to Hugh as 'his lord and brother,' which proves the latter's seniority. He was lord of Petty and Bracholy, Boharm and Arteldol, and died before 1226. He is believed to be the ancestor of the Morays of Bothwell."

from Scots Peerage (vol 8) 2 3
