The exact line of ancestry for Thomas Bruce of Clackmannan has not been determined. It seems most probable, based on heraldic evidence, that he was not the son of an illegitimate son or grandson of the main Bruce of Annandale line but must descend from a legitimate younger son, though who that is is unknown as yet. 1


Thomas married Marjory CHARTERIS.1 (Marjory CHARTERIS was born about 1330 and died after 1359 1.)
