User ID: N461. Sarah married James GORDON 2nd of Sheepbridge, son of ? James GORDON 1st of Sheepbridge (Co. Down) and Unknown, about 1712.1 (James GORDON 2nd of Sheepbridge was born about 1688 and died by 17 November 1753 (probate 1749 will) 1 2.) Marriage Notes: "James Gordon was the 2nd of Sheepbridge, County Down, Ireland. The will of James Gordon II was dated 27 January 1749 and proved 17 November 1753 in the jurisdiction of Newry and Mourne, County Down, Ireland. He gives the lands of Lisduff (about 26 acres) to his wife Sarah for life and then his three sons, James, Samuel and John to have its interest and that of Derryboy and Cloughenramer. His son George is to have a 1/2 acre of moss meadow in Cloughenramer with what he has already been given. To his daughter Anne Templeton he gives £ 1 - 3 - 0 and to his daughters Elinor and Sarah £30 and to live in the house with their mother. Sheepbridge is to go to his son James, provided he comes to live in Ireland. If he does not choose to do so, Sheepbridge is to go to his son Samuel and James is to have another part. James appoints his dear wife Sarah and John Ellis and Ephraim Murdock as executors. The will is witnessed by Thomas and John Carr and Humphrey Humphries. [2], [1] |
