"Alexander Keith, M.A. (Edinburgh, 28th July 1596); adm. 19th Sept. 1598 ; member of the Glasgow Assembly 1610 ; adhered to the protestation for the liberties of the Kirk, 27th June 1617 ; still min. in 1633, when his name disappears from the Presb. Record. He marr. Jean Gudlad, widow of preceding (Patrick Shairp), and had issue Robert ; Alexander, his successor; Jean. [Reg. Assig., Presb., Edin. Presb. ; Booke of the Kirk ; Orig.
