"Robert Farquharson of Invercauld and of Rivernie was born circa 1520. He was the son of Findla 'Mor' Farquharson, 1st of Invercauld and Beatrix Gardyne of that Ilk. He married Marjorie Robertson, daughter of unknown Robertson of Inverchroskie. He died circa 1590."

1 1520 seems too early for the birth of Robert Farquharson. Perhaps 70 years has simply been deducted from a death said to be about 1570.

2 Beatrix does not seem to have been of the Gardyne of that Ilk family
