User ID: N179. William married Elizabeth OGILVY 'of Milton of Keith'.1 (Elizabeth OGILVY 'of Milton of Keith' was born about 1585.) Marriage Notes: "IV. Having no surviving male issue, George Leslie (3rd laird) made over his estate of Aikenway to his nephew, William, the son of his youngest brother Robert. William Leslie, fourth Laird of Aikenway, married, first, Elizabeth Ogilvie of Milton of Keith, by whom he had no issue." William next married Beatrix BRODIE 12 August 1642 (contract).1 (Beatrix BRODIE was born about 1605.) Marriage Notes: "He (William Leslie) married, secondly, Beatrix, daughter of John Brodie, preacher of the Gospel at the kirk of Aldernie. By their marriage contract, dated 12th August 1642, William Leslie bound himself to infeft Beatrix Brodie in the lands of Aikenway, which was done 1st January 1644. By her he had three daughters, Christian, Margaret, and Jean." |
