"Grant, Robert Charles. 1st June, 1811.

Son of Charles Grant of Blairfindy and Balgowan. Alumnus, Mar. Coll., 1803-5. App. to Charles Gordon (1783). Succeeded to Balgovwan (now known as Airlie), Keig, which he bequeathed to Trustees for behoof of a Roman Catholic College. Lieut., Royal Aberdeen Vols., 1803 ; Lieut., Aberdeenshire Local Militia, 1808.

Died, unmarried, at Aberdeen, 23rd March, 1823, in his 35th year."
