Walter married First WIFE.1 (First WIFE was born about 1555 and died before 10 October 1591 1.) Marriage Notes: "Sir Walter Rollo had a charter for the lands of Thaynsland from his brother, James Rollo, fiar of Duncrub, on 4 April 1574 [GD 56/35] and also had a charter under the Great Seal for the lands and barony of Gardyne on 19 September 1601. The name of his first wife is not but he had issue by her." Walter next married Jean STEWART, daughter of James STEWART 5th Lord Innermeath and Helen OGILVY, 10 October 1591(contract).1 2 (Jean STEWART was born about 1567.) Marriage Notes: "Jean (Stewart), married, contract 10 October 1591, to Walter Rollok of Pitmadie, tutor of Duncrub, styled later Sir Walter Rollok of Gardin; secondly, to Sir Alexander Jardine of Applegarth." |
