Margaret married Peter (secundus) HAY of Rattray, then of Kirkland of Megginch, son of Peter HAY 4th of Megginch and Margaret OGILVY.¹ (Peter (secundus) HAY of Rattray, then of Kirkland of Megginch was baptised on 23 April 1557 ² and died before 29 May 1629 ¹.)

  Marriage Notes:

"Peter Hay of Rattray, afterwards of Kirkland of Megginch, was the immediate younger brother of George (see Note below), first Earl of Kinnoull. He had charters, 22 July 1609, of the lands of Lownane and others, co. Forfar, 22 June 1609, of Innernytie, co. Perth, 11 July 1607, of the lands and barony of Carnbaddie, in the same county. He was dead before 29 May 1629. He married Margaret Boyd,8 and had issue"
