Catherine married James HOME 2nd Earl of Home, son of Alexander HOME 6th Lord Home, 1st Earl of Home and Marie Dudley SUTTON, 10 August 1622(contract) 28 August 1622(charter).1 (James HOME 2nd Earl of Home was born about 1605 and died on 13 February 1633 in London, England 1.)

"He (James Home) married, first (contract dated at Edinburgh 10 August 1622), Catherine Carey, eldest daughter of Henry, first Viscount Falkland. She had a charter of the dominical lands of Home, with the castle of Home, etc., and the lands of Exmuir, Falsydehill, Howlaws, and others, and the dominical lands and town of Ladykirk 28 August 1622. She died before 8 May 1626, without issue."
