"John (Cameron), who appears repeatedly on record during the life of his father. He is described as 'a gentleman of exquisite judgment, who had a genius happily turned for the management of civil affairs.' He married, in October, 1626, Lady Margaret, daughter of Robert Campbell of Glenfalloch who, in 1640, succeeded his brother, Sir Colin, in the estates and Baronetcy of Glenorchy, and became father of the first Earl of Breadalbane - with issue"
