General Notes: "William Ramsay de Dalwolsy, probably the son of the foregoing, signed the Ragman Roll 28 August 1296 at Berwick, and on 24 May 1297 King Edward I. writes to him that his commands will be intimated to him by Cressingham the Treasurer. He joined the party of Bruce, was one of his most devoted adherents, and among the Barons who signed the letter asserting the independence of Scotland, which Bruce sent to the Pope in 1320." William married. |
