"WILLIAM MOIR, born 1726, son of George M. min. of Kintore; educated at Marischal College, Aberdeen, 1740-4; licen. by Presb. of Ellon 4th Oct. 1748; pres. by tutors of the Hon. William Gordon of Fyvie in Nov. 1748; ord. 27th April 1749; died 19th March 1794. He marr. 22nd Oct. 1776, Helen Constable, who died at Aberdeen 26th Feb. 1817, aged 67, and had issue George, M.A., Kingston, Jamaica, born 18th Dec. 1777, died 11th Sept. 1807; Katherine Jean, born 6th April 1779 (marr. 30th March 1800, John Dingwall of Rainieston, provost of Aberdeen).
