  General Notes:

"In 1513, his (Bernard Mortimer of Craigievar) descendant, William Mortimer of Craigievar, was infeft in half of the above lands, and his descendants held the whole of them. Some of them- must have resided on the place in 1535, when four Mortimers appear, including a female, voting in the election of a parish clerk of Inverurie. Mortimer of Craigievar received or granted charters of Aquhorties lands down to 1627 William, in 1528 ; William, in 1554, when John, the grandson of Alexander, was his heir; George, in 1563; William, in 1573; James, in 1594."
