General Notes: "Margaret was a daughter of Sir William Ruthven, of Ballernach, Lord of Ruthven, and an unknown mother.[1]" Margaret married Sir Walter DRUMMOND of Stobhall and Cargill, son of Sir John DRUMMOND of Cargill or Stobhall and Elizabeth SINCLAIR.1 (Sir Walter DRUMMOND of Stobhall and Cargill was born about 1388 and died in 1455 1.) Marriage Notes: "Sir Walter (Drummond) of Stobhall and Cargill was knighted by James II., and died in 1455. It is said by the family historiographers that he married Margaret, daughter, according to one account, of Sir Patrick, and according to another, of Sir William Ruthven of that Ilk, but no proof has been found of this. They are stated to have had issue" |
