On their marriage his father granted on 12 Feb 1479/80 to Andrew as his heir apparent and Elizabeth Graham his spouse the lands of Fordies in Strathard, Perthshire. This charter was witnessed at Dundee by Sir James Ogilvy of Campsie, John Ogilvy of Ballendoch, David Ogilvy of Tolmade, John Ogilvy of Keilor, James Moncur of Freithlands and James Moncur son of Andrew Moncur senior. These are significant as Sir James later Lord Ogilvy of Airlie was Elizabeth Graham's step-father and John of Ballendocht her step-brother. On 23 Feb 1480/1 the King confirmed that charter of Andrew Moncur of that ilk . [1 Registrum magni sigilli regum Scotorum Vol ii: 1462]" |
