"James Crichton married Isobel Nevay at Alyth on 17 May 1629. [2] Their contract of marriage signed at Holyrood on 13 May 1629 gave them joint holding of the lands of Craigs.[10] Isobel was the daughter of John Nevay of that Ilk.
James Crichton and Isobel Nevay had issue including:
1. James Crichton, the son and heir. [2]
2. Margaret Crichton, m. at Longforgan, on 21 October 1650, to Sir George, 1st Lord Kinnaird of Inchture,53 (he d. on 29 December 1689), and had issue (she died in January 1674). [2]
