"John Kinnaird was killed at the battle of Pinkie 1547. He was contracted in January 1505-6 to marry Christian, daughter and heiress of Hugh Sutherland of Pronsie, but this did not take effect, and he married Janet Ogilvy, a sister of Patrick Ogilvy of Inchmartin. They had a son, Patrick Kinnaird"
