Daughter married Captain James GRANT of Wester Elchies, son of Lieutenant Colonel Patrick GRANT of Wester Elchies (second Grants) and Janet FORBES.1 (Captain James GRANT of Wester Elchies was born about 1677 and died in October 1740 1.)


  Marriage Notes:

"Captain James Grant of Wester Elchies. Mentioned in his father's testament in 1693 as eldest lawful son. In 1698 he obtained a precept of dare constat in his favour upon the lands of Wester Elchies, and on 22d June 1713 received a crown charter of confirmation of these lands. He married a daughter of Ogilvie of Kincairne. He died in October 1740."
