"After her (Magdalen Haliburton's) death there on 10 March 1650 the Earl, at the advanced age of seventy-three, married, secondly, 29 April 1652, Marjory, daughter of Andrew Maule of Guildie, relict of William Nairn, son of the Laird of Sandford in Fife. They were married on the same day that the Earl's daughter Marjory made her second marriage."
